CityConnect is an arm of the Coalition for African Americans in the Performing Arts (CAAPA) that helps marry performers with their performances in their own city with an opportunity to perform in the Washington DC National Capital Area.
ABOUT THE PROGRAM
Community Outreach . . . CAAPA is reaching beyond the walls of the Washington, DC metro area to present concerts in other cities across the nation to “Bring Color to the Classics!”
Arts Education . . . CAAPA partners with musicians, venues, organizations, and religious institutions to present Black classical musicians and others in the performing arts in concerts, recitals, musical presentations, and more.
Audience Development . . . CAAPA invites arts organizations, musicians, educational and religious community to assist in helping to develop audiences of diverse backgrounds, ages, and musical backgrounds, in an effort to help grow awareness of classical music and performances.
Performance Opportunities . . . Helps artists to present a quality program that helps their career as well as:
Arts Partnerships . . . CAAPA partners with Artists throughout the United States of America in providing a variety of services, resources, and support.
