ABOUT THE PROGRAM

 

An annual staple in CAAPA'S Performance Series has been the popular and multi-genre Paintings, Poetry, Puccini, and Pasta.  Held in honor of National Poetry Month, this informal event features a renowned visual artist, spoken word shared by Poet Sistah Joy,

 

Puccini performed by an ensemble of Black classically trained musicians, and pasta created by the chefs of Busboys and Poets.  The event also features CAAPA's signature cocktail, the "Opera-tini" and unique narration to explain the Italian arias performed.
