Our CAAPA Performance Series changes with the seasons and venues adapting performance themes that speak to the people, capture the imagination and ultimately transform lives. Your ticket helps pay for performance fee, travel, accommodations, receptions, publicity and more.

Amplifying Black Artistry, Inspiring Generations

CAAPA’s Performance Series celebrates the richness of classical music through the lens of African American artistry and composition. Featuring both free and low-cost community recitals in libraries, senior centers, and local venues—as well as a dynamic ticketed concert series across the region—the series brings world-class performances to audiences of all backgrounds. Each event highlights exceptional musicianship while honoring the legacy and innovation of African American composers.
